The last time we saw Aurora was during our ill-fated Norway adventure in 2019 on Viking Sky but I had travelled on Aurora back in 2004 with my late Dad, so this ship has a few memories for me. Back then, she was an almost new ship but since then she's clocked-up some mileage and had a few refits, one of which included this 'new' livery as part of a fleet rebranding in 2014.

For this cruise, Andrew & I would be joined by Angie, along with 'cruise virgins' Janet and daughter Juliette and Lesley & Peter, making this one of our largest groups in quite a few years...

However, just as everyone had booked their shore excursions, P&O rearranged the itinerary, dropping Nordfjordeid, Kristiansund and Alesund in favour of Skjolden, Maloy and Trondheim; no explanation why but looking back post-cruise, the revised itinerary was perfect, so there were no regrets all round!
