This cruise was by way of a 60th Birthday celebration for both Andrew & Gerry and at 168,666grt, Anthem of the Seas would have been the biggest ship any of us had sailed on! We were to be joined by Andrew's sister, Carol, Gerry's sister Peggy, her daughter Claire and her friend Lisa, making us a total of 7 BUT - it was not to be. 2020 was the year of the "covid-19" virus pandemic which resulted in a worldwide shut-down of cruising. Amidst international lockdowns and travel restrictions, our cruise was cancelled in August by Royal Caribbean.
