For me, John, Gerry, Joyce & Anne, this should have been one of our most exotic destinations but this cruise simply never quite made it to No.30. I finished work on the Wednesday evening, everyone wishing me "bon voyage", only to arrive home to an urgent message from our travel agent. Infinity had developed mechanical problems with her propulsion pods and Celebrity had decided to cancel the cruise and send her into dry dock for repairs.

We were all devastated at the time but it would have been much worse if we had flown all the way out to San Diego, only then to be told that we had to come home! We got all our money back, of course, and to sweeten the pill, we were allowed a free 10-day cruise on another Celebrity ship within 12 months. So..... See Galaxy 2005 >>
